Am 4. Juni 2016 findet nun schon zum 4. Mal das KORNEUBURGER HÖFEFEST statt.
Ich möchte Euch gerne zu dieser interessanten Veranstaltung
im Herzen der geschichtsträchtigen Korneuburger Altstadt einladen.
An diesem Tag gibt es auch Einblicke in einige alte Innenhöfe,
die sonst nicht öffentlich zugänglich sind. Die Eröffnung ist um 15:30 Uhr am Korneuburger Hauptplatz durch
Bürgermeister Christian Gepp. Im Anschluss daran gibt’s ein umfangreiches und abwechslungsreiches Programm
in den teilnehmenden Höfen mit Ausstellungen, Musik, Tanz, Spielen, regionalen Schmankerln und vielem mehr …
zum ersten Mal gibt’s im Pfarrhof außer dem bereits traditionellen Sommerkino am Abend
auch schon ein volles Programm am Nachmittag. Wenn Du mit Deinem Fahrrad kommst,
kannst Du hier gleich mal damit Deine Geschicklichkeit unter Beweis stellen und es anschließend neu bemalen.
Ich bin natürlich auch wieder mit einigen neuen Fotos im GWÖLB dabei.
Ich freue mich auf Deinen Besuch und auf interessante Gespräche und gemütliche Plaudereien.

Vom Donnerstag, 16. Juni bis zum Sonntag, 19. Juni 2016 gibt’s im FLOCKERLHOF in Klement bei Ernstbrunn das traditionelle Sommerfest
mit Kunst und Kunsthandwerk. Natürlich wird auch auf das leibliche Wohl dabei nicht vergessen.
In einem schönen, traditionellen Weinviertler Bauernhof in den Leiser Bergen gibt’s auch eine Weinverkostung,
und bei Kaffee und Kuchen kann man gemütlich die Seele baumeln lassen.

Da viele Freunde auch sehr weit weg von Korneuburg wohnen, habe ich versprochen,
für Euch einen kurzen Bericht mit ein paar Fotos von den letzten Aktivitäten vorzubereiten.
Am Samstag, den 23. April 2016 war ich mit ein paar Fotos Gast bei der Veranstaltung FRÜHLINGSGEFÜHLE in der Tuch- und Schalmanufaktur von Andrea Wimmer in Korneuburg. Der Wetterbericht hatte uns zwar keine frühlingshaften Voraussagen gemacht, aber da wir alle wirklich so brav waren und alles so schön vorbereiteten, schenkte uns der Wettergott dann auch ein Lächeln. Mit Schals, Schmuck, Schminkberatung, Fotoausstellung, Wein und Genussvolles aus dem Traubengarten war dann an diesem gemütlichen Nachmittag für alle etwas dabei. 
Am Freitag, 29. April 2016 gab es in der Raiffeisenbank Korneuburg die Auftaktveranstaltung zum 12. KORNEUBURGER KUNSTKILOMETER . Es wurde erst die Veranstaltung und die teilnehmenden Künstler vorgestellt. Nach der Eröffnung gab es dann ein Buffet und noch reichlich Zeit zum Plaudern und zum Gedankenaustausch. Wenn jemand noch die Gelegenheit nutzen möchte: ein paar Tage sind die Korneuburger Geschäfte noch Galerie. Meine Fotos gibt’s im Landchic am Hauptplatz.

Diejenigen unter Euch, die mich schon sehr lange kennen, wissen ja, dass ich eine große Vorliebe habe,
die nahe und ferne Umgebung mit meinem Fahrrad zu erkunden; manchmal gemütlich, um zu die Gegend zu genießen,
manchmal um meinen Gedanken freien Lauf zu lassen und manchmal sportlich, um meine Grenzen zu suchen und neue Energie zu tanken.
Nachdem mir mein neues Fahrrad gestohlen wurde, bin ich über ein Jahr nicht mit dem Rad gefahren; nun hatte ich endlich beschlossen, das Fahrrad meines Vaters wieder fahrtüchtig zu machen. Jetzt muss ich daran arbeiten, auch mich wieder fahrtüchtig zu machen; meine erste Probefahrt von Korneuburg zum Kraftwerk Greifenstein und retour war immerhin genau so anstrengend wie normalerweise Korneuburg – Krems und retour! Es ist auch wie eine Rückkehr nach 1 ½ Jahren … ich finde so viele Dinge die neu sind und einiges ist auch verschwunden in dieser Zeit.

Am 26. April 2016 war in Wien im WUK (Veranstaltungs- und Kulturzentrum) die kanadische Sängerin Béatrice Martin –
Künstlername Coeur de Pirate (Piratenherz) zu Gast. Aus mehreren Gründen war ich auf das Konzert schon neugierig:
einerseits war ich jetzt schon längere Zeit nicht mehr auf einem größeren Konzert gewesen und andererseits habe ich mich gefragt:
wer kennt Coeur de Pirate in Österreich und wer sieht sich Coeur de Pirate in Wien an?
Der Veranstaltungsraum im WUK bietet doch genug Platz für eine Menge von Menschen und doch er war voll.
Das Publikum war jüngeren bis mittleren Alters.
Der Auftritt war nicht nur unplugged mit Klavier sondern vollständig mit Band und Lichteffekten.
Béatrice Martin war das erste Mal in Wien.
Ihre Tochter heißt übrigens Romy, wie Romy Schneider – hat sie erzählt …Und die Musik?
Coeur de Pirate hat Lieder in Französisch und Englisch gesungen –
ein schwungvoller moderner Chanson- und Popsound mit Einflüssen der 1960er-Jahre.

Mit dem Bericht über das Konzert von Coeur de Pirate bin ich wieder bei meiner Rubrik „Lieblingslieder“ gelandet.
Heute stelle ich drei neue Lieder vor:
In diesem Monat ist das 27. Studioalbum von Reinhard Mey erschienen. “So viele Sommer“ ist ein tolles Lied mit viel Lebensweisheit. Ich hoffe, es gibt noch viele Sommer und Lieder von und mit Reinhard Mey … Reinhard Mey - So viele Sommer Renaud Séchan – kurz Renaud – hat sich nach einigen persönlich sehr schweren Jahren auch mit einer CD zurückgemeldet. Über Renaud werde ich in einen meiner nächsten Infomails mehr erzählen - hier mal „Toujours débout“ … Renaud - Toujours débout Da aller guten Dinge drei sind: es gibt auch von Tanita Tikaram eine neue CD mit dem Titel „Closer to the People“; aus diesem Album nun der Titel „The Way You Move" Tanita Tikaram - The Way You Move |

On June 4th, 2016 will be taking place the KORNEUBURGER HÖFEFEST already for the 4th time.
I would like to invite you to this interesting event in the middle of the historic old city of Korneuburg.
On this day, you have also the possibility to see some old courtyards, which are usually not open for the public.
The opening is at 15:30 at the Korneuburg main square by Mayor Christian Gepp. Following this,
there's an extensive and varied program in the participating courtyards with exhibitions, music, dance, games,
regional delicacies and much more ... for the first time, the courtyard of the parish also provides a full program
in the afternoon beside the traditional summer cinema in the evening.
If you come by bike, you will have the possibility to take part in some games and to re-paint it.
You will find me and some of my photos in the courtyard of the Gwölb. I look forward to your visit and to interesting conversations.

From Thursday, June 16th to Sunday, June 19th, 2016 there is in the FLOCKERLHOF in Klement near Ernstbrunn the traditional
summer festival with arts and crafts. In a beautiful, traditional Weinviertler farm in the Leiser Berge you can also taste
some regional products like wine. You can enjoy your stay also with a cup of coffee and cake.

As many friends live too far away from Korneuburg,
I promised to prepare a short report with some pictures of the last activities for you.
On Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 I was as guest with a couple of photos at the event SPRING FEELINGS in the cloth and shawl manufactory of Andrea Wimmer in Korneuburg. The weatherforecast was not very good but we were lucky – it was a nice spring afternoon and not very cold. Scarves, jewelry, make-up consultation, photo exhibition, wine and delicious regional food from the grape garden was also available on this nice afternoon. The wide range of products offered something for everyone.
On Friday, April 29th, 2016 , there were at the Raiffeisenbank Korneuburg the opening event of the 12th KORNEUBURGER KUNSTKILOMETER . First all the participating artists were presented and after the opening there was a buffet and plenty of time to chat and to exchange ideas. If anyone still wants to take this opportunity : a few days are still remaining to visit the biggest gallery of Korneuburg. My photos can be found in the Landchic on the main square.

Those friends of you who have known me for a long time, they know that I love to explore the near and distant surroundings by my bike;
sometimes cozy to enjoy the area, sometimes to let my mind wander and sometimes sporty to find my limits and re-energize.
After my new bike had been stolen, I did not go by bike for more than a year; Now I finally decided to make my father's bike roadworthy. Now I have to work to make me roadworthy again too; my first excursion was from Korneuburg to the powerplant of Greifenstein on the River Danube and back. I was at least just as exhausted as normally after a trip from Korneuburg to Krems and back! It is also like a return after a 1 ½ years break ... I find so many things that are new and some are gone at this time.

On April 26th, 2016 took place in Vienna at the WUK (venues and cultural center) a concert of the Canadian singer Béatrice Martin -
artist name Coeur de Pirate (Pirate Heart). For several reasons, I was already curious:
on the one hand, it was my first bigger concert after a long time, and then I asked myself:
who knows Coeur de Pirate in Austria and who looks at Coeur de Pirate in Vienna? The concert room in the WUK
provides place for a lot of people but it was full. The audience was younger and middle-aged.
The performance was not only unplugged with piano but complete with band and light effects.
Béatrice Martin was the first time in Vienna. Her daughter is called Romy, like Romy Schneider -
she told ... And the music? Coeur de Pirate has songs in French and English –
a mix of modern chanson and pop sound with influences of the 1960s.

With the report on the concert of Coeur de Pirate I'm back in my section "favorite songs". Today I will present three new songs:
This month, Reinhard Mey launched his the 27th studio album. "So viele Sommer" is a great song with a lot of wisdom. I hope there will be a lot of summers and songs by and with Reinhard Mey ... Reinhard Mey - So viele Sommer Renaud Séchan - called Renaud - has returned after a few personally very difficult years with a CD. About Renaud I will tell you more in one of my next mails - here's the new song "Toujours Debout" ...
